Front View

Front view of the cabin. This driveway will fit four vehicles.

The bear art is a gift from a dear late friend and former student, Jayson Cabrol, who plasma-cut the bear family himself. They signify a regular occurrence on West Way. Our back door opens onto the forest and lake trails. Herbivore black bears and cubs are frequent visitors to the neighborhood. They're timid and will avoid you, but do not approach or feed them. Rear View

The back view shows a modest deck under the shade of tall pines. It's a good spot for morning coffee when the jays and squirrels are out. You can people watch as folks bicycle along the nearby lake trail. On warm evenings the center yard and an abundance of chairs makes for hearty socializing.
Looking toward the bike trail

The city's paved bike and hike trail is two doors down. The trail leads all over South Lake Tahoe. It's a short, level mile stroll to the lake at Pope Beach or beyond to Camp Richardson beach.
